Set Your Intentions Before You Start

This journey is exciting — but it’s also personal.

Taking a few minutes to set clear goals will give you direction, motivation, and something to hold onto when things feel challenging.

Start with small, realistic goals. Consistency with small wins is what leads to big results.

Before you dive in, pause and ask yourself:

  • What made me join RaeSmith Fitness?

  • What do I truly want to accomplish?

  • Why is this important to me right now?

Your why is what will carry you on the days when motivation is low.

Creating SMART Goals

Vague goals don’t create results. Clear ones do.

Instead of saying, “I want to lose weight,” try something like this:

  • Specific: Lose 15 pounds

  • Measurable: Check progress regularly so you know you’re on track

  • Attainable: Aim for 0.5–2 pounds per week

  • Relevant: Improving health, confidence, and energy

  • Time-Bound: Work toward this goal over the next 3-4 months, then reassess

Clear goals give you something concrete to work toward and celebrate along the way.

Celebrate Your Progress

Every win matters.

Whether it’s drinking more water, finishing your workouts for the week, making better food choices, or seeing changes in the mirror — acknowledge it. Progress isn’t just measured on the scale.

When Mistakes Happen (Because They Will)

You’re human. Mistakes are part of the process.

One off-plan meal. One missed workout. One “off” day.

None of those will undo your progress.

What can slow progress is letting one slip turn into a pattern.

Don’t give a single mistake that kind of power. Recognize it, learn from it, and reset immediately. The next meal. The next day. The next workout.
